The essence of this teaching of the Buddha is embedded in the following song/poem, which is located at the very end of the sutra. The Buddha said that if you learned it and tried to understand it, the benefits would be quite stupendous. So memorize it. Dare ya.
A phantom, dewdrops, a lightning strike,
A candle, skewed vision or the morning star,
These are to illustrate what things are like--
They're like dreams, hope you notice that all things are!
